I just wanted to post a few good words about Ryan Wilson's mod 2 6 inch fighter/utility blade.I wanted input on this blade before I got it and could find none any where so I thought this thread may help someone else out in considering his work. This knife is great.Perfect blade length for me along with shape and the D2 steel has held a remarkable edge.I have been carrying for around a month now and have cut muddy rope, trees and brush, and lots of food products like rolls of sausage and steak and hams with no problems. The handle is very comfortable with no hot spots or pinky bighter probs. This blade has also been exposed to lots of rain and corrosive materials lately with no corrosion problems either. The sheath is top notch and rides comfortably on the side.Only problem I had was with the sheath when I first got it,it was to tight and hard to unsheath the blade but a bic lighter loosened it up.I cant say enuff good things about this blade,I really like it and I like the steel in it.I hope this helps someone

I don't have any of Ryan Wilson's knives (yet), but I did have a chance to handle several at the 2003 Blade Show in Atlanta. They all seemed well designed in terms of balance & feel. In talking with Ryan, you get the feeling he really knows his stuff, besides being one of the genuinely nicest guys I've ever met, and very pro-customer-service. :D :D :D

i have a wilson model 12 hideout that's scheduled to arrive later this week. i'm looking forward to getting a first-hand look at one of ryan's designs :)
