Win free a "Famous Rob" Talonite knife

Rob Simonich is on the cover of Blade magazine and things are a little slow on the forums so how about a contest. Rob is just plain one of the nicest, most down to earth guys I know so teasing him about being famous is a lot of fun. Besides Rob has done a lot of good things for us with Talonite.

I will give away a Talonite Cuda from Camillus to the lucky winner. See http://www.camillusknives.com/cuada-talon.htm We generate a little excitement, somebody wins a great knife free; Rob, Camillus and Talonite get a little exposure and mostly I get to tease a good friend.

Here’s the deal. Post here if you want to enter. You can congratulate Rob, say something nice about his work, tease him about being famous or just sign in.

Please provide us with a way we can contact you if you win. This really has been a problem in the past.

Hey Rob, buddy, thanks for everything including making the first sensational knives out of Talonite when everybody ‘knew it was impossible.”

Tom

I don't really want to tease Rob about being famous, so I'll just say that's one heck of a knife.

(Even though my luckiness quotient is approaching absolute zero, here's my e-mail addy: TorzJohnson@yahoo.com. Thanks for the chance.)

Well, I don't need to win a free knife (especially one that Will Fennell had anything to do with, ;)), so if I win let's give it to someone who otherwise might not be able to afford one on their own.

Simonich? Why that no talent...I mean, congrats, Rob. Hey, those big guns of yours looked even bigger in the magazine spread. ;)

Seriously though, Hunka, nice work and good to see you getting some well deserved ink.

Seeya in a few months.

AWESOME! What a great way to celebrate Rob being on the cover. Of course I hear that Rob has seen his pic in print may a time, if you count the posters at the Post Office :)

Congrats Rob, and congrats to me for winning :) I've never seen talonite, so I hope I win.

krejman@telusplanet.net is my e-mail, but of course I'll be checking this thread often!

I don't own any fixed, and this looks like a FANTASTIC model to start with...

So I am IN!!!

And what? No Number?

Rob has very good taste in the model he chooses to photograph some of his knives with. Looking forward to more of them.

Rob WHO???.:D.:D.

If I win that knife, I want Rob himself to bring it to me "in-person", as I really would like to meet a craftsman of his caliber!..

PS...Email me at one of my 2 email address shown in my "sig-line" when I win this knife, and I'll give directions to my home for that "personal delivery".:).

I am dying to buy a Raven, the grinds rule...and I really like the handles...almost Mayoish ;) :).

Back in 1934 when I first met Rob, long before his knife fame, I was amazed at the tactical can openers he was making from old metal candle molds. In fact, he called his first model opener the tallow-night, and of course, most of the work he is doing now is an accident - he got confused between tallow-night and talonite.

My email is edv@psyber.com.

Congrats to Rob on a fine knife! Ahead of the curve with a great company and product.

I don't post much because I haven't even gotten my first knife yet. Still saving up for something half-way decent. This talonite knife seems more than decent to start off with, so here goes nothing!
