Hi all, I’m new to this forum and could use a little help identifying and dating a Winchester knife. I believe the body is made of yellow/black stripped Celluloid or Pyremite. It measures 3 3/8” closed. There is some pitting on the blade but mostly by the tang stamp. The stamp is on one side of one blade only. No other markings unless worn off.

Thanks, does that trade mark signify pre WW2 normally? Is it a common knife and do you have an idea of a round about value?

thanks

Is it the Value question I’ll need a Gold level to get an answer?

Is it a common or rare knife?

I don't remember seeing to many of the yellow and black celluloid handles. Many collectors stay away from the celluloid though because they gas out and deteriorate so often.

thanks

Yes, it is the value question that requires a gold membership. You could always look at the bay to see what they have been going with, but these are not terribly common so it might be difficult to find a similar knife that sold recently.
