Any one have any experience with the Winchester pocket chain saw? I just saw one at Wal-Mart. The back of the package said it was made my Carolina Knife & Tool. I have never heard of them and am considering buying one for my survival kit.

I just bought one to try. The results weren't very good. It seems the rivets on mine are a bit too wide in comparison with the set of the teeth. The result is bad binding once the saw reaches a certain depth. The teeth cut fine, however. About as good as a Pocket Chain Saw. A little more thought in the manufacturing would go a long way.

Yeah, the one on edcdepot.com was the first one I was considering but thought I would save a few bucks with the Wal-Mart version. Shecky, are you saying the one you bought from Wal-Mart cuts just as well as the Pocket Chainsaw brand?

It does cut just as well, UNTIL it reaches enough depth that the rivet heads bind up. At which point, it's pretty much useless.
