Windexing anodized titanium handles

Spritz some on a cloth or paper towel and wipe. No more is necessary than if you were wiping a small window or counter top off.

You really only need a small few drops. Make sure to wipe it off quickly & thoroughly and use the Windex/Glass Plus sparingly, otherwise it will leave streaks on the ano. Happened to me so I just wiped it down more and the streaks went away, finish was nice.

Best bet would be some kind of cleaning cloth as opposed to a paper towel. Paper towels can leave marks on it and bits of paper towel come off as well when wet. Even the good "Bounty" brand leaves bits of itself on things so beware.

No problem. I've got a few anodized knives so if you need any other care tips I can probably help you out. Just ask

These days microfiber cleaning cloths are a "must have" accessory if you want to pamper your anodized titanium knives. The cloths don't need to be "camera lens quality" for what you intend to do. Go to any automotive supply shop and buy the microfiber cloths sold for polishing cars. A clean microfiber cloth by itself will wipe away the light oily fingerprints that discolor anodized titanium. The ability to remove fingerprints without chemicals is why microfiber lens cleaning cloths have completely replaced the traditional Kodak lens cleaning tissue paper that photographers grew up with back in the 1950s through the 1980s. Today's microfiber cloths don't leave behind the annoying strands and fiber particles that paper towels and tissues do.

As I mentioned, you can use the cloths dry as long as they are reasonably clean (and they can be washed clean any number of times). But for really stubborn and greasy crud on your titanium scales, just sparingly dampen a cloth with some cheap 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol that any good town pharmacy should keep in stock. Don't get the green tinted scented alcohol and don't settle for the more common 70% variety, the former because it includes scented oils in the mix and the latter because it contains more water than you really want.

Another trick: If you need to pretty up your anodized titanium right away but don't have any microfiber cloth or alcohol handy, then common adhesive tape or even Post-It notes can be used to lift off oily residue. This can be somewhat wasteful but it does work if you've got nothing better.
