Which is the best Window Punch / Knife Combo. Benchmade or Spyderco make one? CHP buddy needs one, it will be a late b-day present.

Thanks,

Ryan

Another one for the Spyderco assist. You can get a gorilla grip on it without it slipping. It's the best First Responder knife IMHO.

I strongly recommend the Spyderco Assist. Since I got mine, I carry it on me a lot or clip it in my gear bag. It's the lightest weight big knife you can get. With finger grooves on the handle and on the back of the blade, it's as non-slip as you can get, and the grooves work with the snipper function. (Put a rope or stick between the handle and half-open blade, and *snip*)

I also have the MOD CQD original and the Mark I, which added a glass breaker, and the Mark II, which I would recommend over the larger models, which are huge. The Mark II is still a good, solid knife, and not really small. It also comes with a glass breaker, but not with the cutter.

I' ve already tried the Spyderco Assist a few times. It works, believe me. :) It also has other functional features that may be useful as a rescue/ survival accessory. Note though, you need to check that carbide tip on a regular basis as it is recommended that is be replaced after at least a few uses. This can be done if sent back to the Spyderco factory.

Spyderco Assist. Light weight, great grip, designed to do exactle what it is supposed to do. Now a permenant piece of my duty gear.
