I can "generally " can control myself .

I window shop a whole heck of a lot more than I buy .

Put interesting stuff in the cart , think about it , read reviews , and wait for a really good deal .

Let it go if it never does price drop enough .

They've been getting me with free knife promos and sales. I wouldn't buy a QSP or Civivi, but I'll try one out if, after the knife i was looking at coincidentally goes on sale and I have a pile of points and still qualify for free shipping, there's a code in my email... That temptation put me over the fence at least 3 times in the last 6 months.

Punched Ti scales with hollow grind blades and new super steels preferably packaged as Spyderco Native 5 are my kryptonite.
But I voted "I can control myself".

To be honest casual window shopping never gets me, but if I happen to be on and a limited drop is going on, about one time in four I'll take a crack at it even if I hadn't planned to.

I "window shop" on The Exchange 2-3x's a day & have only bought 5 knives in 8 months from there which is a low number for me.

So, I guess that means I'm "in control" but I'd buy more if there were more there that I wanted to buy.

I also troll EB & ACK but not daily, usually only when I'm looking for a particular knife that I'd like to add to my collection.

And I also seldom shop on a retail site unless I am looking for a specific knife that has been newly released or that I have not yet seen on The Exchange, EV or ACK.

Window shopping is best when it encompasses all of the senses.

I pretty much only buy on the secondary. I’m always cking the exchange here. After buying like crazy and 4 blade shows in the last two years I’ve got to handle a lot of knives to the point I know what I like and want. So I’m no longer buying to try knives out. So to be honest I’m not buying because of experience not self control. God knows I have absolutely no self control.

I get weak knees at strong smallish slipjoint knives, so when I window shop I tend to fall prey pretty fast when I come about these varieties, most recently, a grohmann 2 blade slippie
