Who makes the best windshield wiper. Here in AZ they rot from the sun before any rain hits them so it's hard to tell how they work. What's your experience?

I have no experience living in AZ but geez that is quite a hassle. I guess it won't make much sense removing the wiper blades during the dry season because you don't know when you need them.
I personally use Trico wiper blades plus Rain X for maximum efficacy. Maybe the best way to protect against rot is to regularly use the windshield washer function to keep the blades moving and moist.

i have had good luck w/the rain -X brand wipers, they are kinda hard to find though, they seem to last better than the std anco/etc refills imho, if ya can find them. other than rain -x anco is the top dog imho, & they have been making wiper products for a looong time,

I use Bosch ones, they have the best rain clearing of any I've tried, but the rubber is soft so they dont last as long as some other brands. I dont know if they sell them over there or if its a Europe only thing.

I've used armour all wipes on the blades for longevity and it keeps them clean. Unfortunately I can't tell that it has helped any. :(

Being in the autoparts aftermarket for a career does NOT make me an expert but I do know that sticking with old brands such as Anco or Trico is smart . Bosch appeared after I retired but has a respected name.
Trick ,gadget blades work too BUT can ruin a windshield. There is a thin line between clean wiping and abrasive wiping. Witness slightly older car's windshields .Some blades acutally turn windslields into occluded glass.
Before trying a new brand, ask around to find someone that has used them for some time.
Here in Florida, wiper blades, heater & radiator hoses are short lived. Fan belts live a bit longer.

Try using some rain-x if you never have. It wont make your wipers quit rotting in the sun, but it will reduce your need for them by a bunch. I love the stuff.

I bought a set of Teflon wipers from NAPA and they work real good. In the heat of AZ, you are probably going to have to replace wipers more often. ie.. just before the thunder storm season, and maybe again before winter.
I used to drive between Los Angeles and Tacoma weekly and I replced wipers every 3 months.I've been with my current company 1 1/2 years and Ive been through 4 sets already.

11 days of rain up this way(NJ/NY) had made this a very relevant topic--thanks for the info, guys. The Toyota OEM replacement blades aren't bad but they're not great, either, so I'm up for something better, myself.

I recently got a pair of Valeo wipers for my car. They are the OEM for many of the European car manufacturers, and offer the advantage of being low profile. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to try them yet -- I'm still on practically new Bosch Micro Edge Excel wipers (which are decent, but not quite as good as the Subaru OEM ones).
