I think the BK77 is my all time favorite knife in the Becker line.

I've never had axe lust but can understand. Nice vid as always. I find many axe heads every year while metal detecting and toss them if they aren't fur trade era. I have only found one double though, it was a big honker.

Yeah I never had it as well but in the winter time when so much of the wood has been wet on the outside and then froze, and you want a good big fire for the night they can be very handy.

I doubt I would need one like this in the dry summer months.

Cool vid. That moss reminds me of my camping spot near Mt Hood. It has a thick layer of that moss on the ground and it feels like carpet when you walk barefoot. :D

You have any leads to a good place to get old axes around here? I've tried antique stores and flea markets but to no avail. Maybe I need to hit them harder?

You need to hit up estate sales on the weekends, preferably in an outlaying area away from portland cause city folk are less likely to have an old axe sitting around i think.

Nicely done; thank you for sharing!!

Sunday we'll be doing our standard Noon at the EOC gathering, and then out for some Trees-N-Quiet...

May have to unlimber my old GB Throwing Axe  !

Cheers,

nice video, man. any specific reason why you like the bk77 the best? is it the s30v or the bk-7's balance/size/shape in general? aside from the tactool, the bk-7 is the only production becker i have yet to own but i keep thinking about it (it keeps me from thinking about the 'tweeners too much, hehe).

I do like the S30V, its my only non-1095 knife, the feel of the 7 in general is great, a good jack of all trades, master of none in the Becker line.

I also enjoy the edge that the S30V can hold over time.
