Yesterday Becker and I went snowshoeing. This was his first time hiking a mountain in the snow. It was about 20 degrees and very windy. Lucky this mountain wasn't too tall to be above tree line and out of the shelter of the trees. I had planned on taking more pictures but trying to keep up with Becker was rough!
Looking down the trail.

I never can pass up taking pictures of icicles.

Hiking across the side of the hill. Becker is looking back were we came from.

We arrived at the first ledge. For a smaller mountain it was an awesome view.

We saw this crazy looking dead tree.

I decided to stab it with my BK-14. My neck knife of choice for trips like this. Also had my BK-2 in my pack just incase.

Back on the trail. We got some fresh snow overnight and it made the trees look amazing in the sunlight.

Had to walk through some of the snowy branches and try not to knock the snow off all over us.

On our way down to the Southern ledge. It got good and steep. Should have brought a sled!

A lot of yellow birch trees. Great tinder.

Becker and I met some people on the South ledge and asked them to take a picture of us.

Can't wait to get out again!
