The Heafner(TOP) was the best Chopper by far(It's larger and heavier)--and does also a very good job for it's size on smaller work(asI can choke up on it to do finer work). It chops VERY well.

The Middle is a Siegle with Becker Grips on it--First time testing it.It's .200" thick 5160 and light--almost Fighter like in weight.Very Fast in hand-but not a chopper. It excelled in clearing the trail on branches thumb size and smaller.

The Fehrman had custom handles from the factory installed without the FireBowl groove in the handle. It is one of the best knives I have ever used for it's size.

Hope you liked the photos

Great pics. Bill Siegle makes some great looking knives...

Zeus is looking good as usual, too. Thanks for the pics Dr. Bill.

I can see them now Dr Bill.Zeus is beautiful our Shepard just turned 10 years old. He is very very protective of my wife.I bought him for her when I worked midnights. He took his job of protecting momma very seriously. To the point I have to lock him up if someone comes over that he does not know. If they move to quick or get between him and my wife it is bad news.

Zeus is my 5th German Sherherd and he loves Carol as well as yours loves your wife

Great Breed if given the proper training

Great post Doc. I like the fall colors on the hill. That dead cider is some hard stuff. Enjoyed your opinion on the 3 knives tested .

Zeus is looking good.

Jeff
