i will check this when i get up toomorow, to see who is the winner.

Tman:)

I see it I just dont have the skills to cirle it, but I see it:D

maybe someone with the skilz will post and win:D

but I'll say two and quarter maybe one half bwling ballz to the SW

cool piece of wood, it is about 11/2 inches from the bottom of the pic just off center, has three smooth bolts on the scales...

2.25 bowling balls to the left and 1.5 balls down from the ball in the picture.

One time I found a potato chip that looked like Dwight Eisenhauer.... but it tasted like all the others. :)

contest over... the winner is ...knife hunter:thumbup:.

i'll send ya a piece of this some time this week when i get the rest of it sealed. here is the hack in a better pic, and some other pic's i took last night while tanked. this is rough cut cherry burl at 1 1/8" thick, i'll try to get a pic of the stack later. this is gonna trun out awesome when i get it sanded. somebody say knife plaque :D, some of this is over 36" long and 21" wide.

nice try dave;).

here are a few more shot's before the camera died. that is a yard stick hiding in the middle of all that mess. in total it's forty some piece's, and twenty or so are huge. i don't have enough room in my shed to lay them all out for a photo. if it quit's snowing i'll try and get a group shot for ya.

Nice wood. Is that your shop?

I have read some comments on the Makers forum to the effect that they will store wood for several years to finish 'moving' before they then stabilize it.

Thats some beautiful wood Oge. They look even better sittin next to them PBR cans.

Thanks brother:)

That cherry looks incredible. I will put it too good use:)

yeah that's my home away from home.

i have had good result's with sealing it then storing it in the rafter's, and cranking up the wood stove to heat and dry the air. if i had left it in knot form it would take forever to cure. the rule of thumb is one year cure time per one inch thickness. this stuff is hard enough that i probly won't stabilize it. i'm gonna cut some of this into block's for handle slab's, we'll see how they turn out later.
