Going to be staying in VA for a little bit, and my main edc is a Winkler Belt knife. I carry it concealed in a pocket sheath and I use it for just about everything I could ever need a knife for.
Would it be legal to continue carrying it while staying in VA?
The only law I could really find that might go against it is the "Like kind" rule. It certainly isnt a Bowie or a Dirk...
Thanks for your input.

I'm in VA, and I'd not carry it concealed. Many LEOs will consider a medium to large fixed blade knife a bowie or a knife of "like kind" which is illegal in all circumstances if carried concealed . Also Commonwealth courts have convicted and upheld convictions for the concealed carry of fixed blade belt knives.

To compound the vagueness in the Virginia code regarding knives is the fact that there is no preemption regarding knives so there may be a multitude of other codes/ordinance regarding knives at the local level.

I'm in VA also for 50 years. ANY fixed blade carried concealed is illegal. Open carry of fixed blades is OK.

At 4.75 and concealed that put you in trouble with some law enforcement, open carry no problem in most places. Some city's may have more restrictive laws. Saw a guy in working in Richmond with a modified tool pouch that held a USMC Kabar along with his screwdrivers, pliers and other stuff.
