Hi all. I received a very cool Winkler folder from a customer recently and wanted to post a few pics. I have always enjoyed Winkler's work. The man is a true craftsman. I have sharpened his fixed blades before but never a folder. Of course, the fit and finish on this knife is fantastic. Everything was smooth and even creating a unique knife that is not only a work of art but a joy to hold. Unfortunately I neglected to take before pictures but the knife had a decent edge; a defined, clean bevel but not hair popping sharp. So after a little TLC the blade ended up with a nice convex edge ready to slice. The owner brought in his entire knife collection to my shop so not only did I get to work on this beauty but we had a mini knife show. Pretty good day in my book. This was a really fun project!
