Being a maker that mostly makes period style knives, I am a huge fan of the work by these two, and as a result am heavily inspired and influenced by what they do. Do any of you have any pics of work by this dynamic duo that they would like to share. Maybe Daniel himself will jump in here and give us a peek at what he's been up to lately!! Thanks in advance to anyone that posts!!

I'm a big fan of Dan and Karen's work. I saw them at Dsolvang and the work was top notch, as usual. I've only had one of their corroborations and it was a custom I ordered. I supplied a Sperm Whale tooth and they took it from there.

The Blade was 7 3/4" Damascus. Collar was Damascus with copper spacers.

I have a really nice cowboy bowie with sheath ... but I don't have any pic of it handy.

Here is my photo contribution, but sadly I do not own it, it is one I pulled from an e-bay auction. I have a piece on order for delivery around the end of the year, and I can't wait!

This is one I wish I'd never gotten rid of. However, I still wear the Omega Seamaster Pro I got in return, so I can't complain too much. Still wish I had that knife though...

Does anyone have photos of Daniel's fine gentleman Bowies?

We tend to associate him with his primitive period pieces, however he can make as fine a dress bowie as anyone out there.

Very nice stuff so far. I can't recall ever seeing one of Daniel's dress bowies, but I'd like to!

wow.. those are stunning....

i have always loved daniels knives, and karens sheaths are just amazing... hopefully one of these i can own one of those works of art...:o

Awesome knives and sheaths, but more importantly, really great people.

Daniel and Karen can go from the most primitive to the highly embellished to the folder with the same outstanding design, execution, fit and finish.

Thanks for posting pictures and the nice comments. Here are a few that may not have been seen before.

Thanks for coming in and posting even more pics of your's and Karen's incredible art Daniel!! This thread has turned up some truly amazing stuff. It's still up in the air if I can attend Blade or not, but if I do, your table will be one of my first stops!!

WOW...Great thread. I had a preconcieved opinion that Daniel Winkler's knives were mostly primative period pieces. Some finely made knives and hatchets in this thread.

NOW I know why his work is highly regarded.

Thanks,
Peter
