As I posted earlier, I recently purchased a Winkler Survival Striker that had some issues with the straightness of the blade. It had a slight turn to left when viewed from the top. After phone discussions with Winkler, I learned that the blades were an issue with other knives of that model. The Striker has a very thick tang that tapers down to a sharp tip and cutting edge. Apparently that design combined with the steel being used was causing problems during the heat treating process so Winkler is more or less giving up on that design. You may notice the knife is no longer listed on their website. I like the Survival model so much I decided to keep mine despite the slight flaw.
I am surprised that I have not read or heard about this issue with that Winkler model anywhere on the web. Other dealers I talked to told me that the Strikers they had in stock had the same issue, but since the blade was "within Winkler specs" they were selling the knives as is. Any other Winkler Survival Striker owners here? Thoughts?

Does This Look Right? Opinions Please.
Here is a new knife that arrived yesterday. Does the tip look bent to you? Does the blade look straight? I will reveal what knife it is after I get some opinions.
