Tomorrow, I'm paddling with tradewater, who likes to flip poisonous snakes at people, so I figured I better get this contest going, even if my estate has to resolve it.

Beckerheads or Becker subforum regulars (25 or more posts here, minimum) on this one, please...

Post up your favorite (one only) outdoor pic involving water. I'll let it run a while and figure out some way to pick a winner. A prize will be involved.

Chat all you want. There's no forethought or rhyme to this one. Go...

Editorial Commentary...

our own pic or just any pic?

I'm trying to facilitate a free-for-all, and you're asking for directions. Go with whatever moves you, Lee. :D

Difficult guyon. Got a lot of cool outdoorsy-water-pics, but I'll play.
High up in the Bavarian Alps, during midsummer, at one of the higher-altitude lakes...

This is my fave from a couple months back. What started as a day hike turned into an all-out all-day play in the creek session.

Thanks for the chance bro.

I just have so many it's really hard to pick. So many amazing bodies of water in the PNW. From lakes, rivers, oceans to creeks, puddles and ponds. Not my most jaw dropping photo but this is vivid shot of a place that was very spiritual and special to me:

Certainly not the most colorful shot I have of the water, but I've always liked the way this photo turned out. We had a wet snow, and the wife and I set out to take photos of it. I always thought this photo looked surreal.

Reserved - thanks and congratulations!

I forgot...but now I remembered! Pic is coming, gotta find some photos and blow the dust off the scanner.

Finally:

West Branch of the Penobscot, somewhere near Chesuncook Lake, ME. Mt. Katahdin is in the background. Me in the stern (25+ years ago), my friend Danna in the bow.

not an entry, but I just had to post this one from the same trip. We had a lot of wind, and decided to try and jerry-rig a sail with paddles and an orange rain poncho. Believe it or not, it worked. Pretty funny lookin':

This is the shore of Chesuncook Lake Village; pop. 2 (Not including us. Seriously, that was the year round population). Mt. Katahdin in the background.
