Now are you saying you wanna have fun or do you really wanna have fun? I've been trying to figure out the best way to host this GAW and I think I finally figured something out. I made my very first post on November 22, 2017 and since, have made almost 1000 posts on BF... 99% of them in the Traditional Forum. Over that time I surpassed 1,000 likes, 2,000 likes, 3,000 likes, 4,000 likes and 5,000 likes. For some odd reason I wrote down (and have screen capture proof :)) of each member that made the 1,000th / 2,000th / 3,000th / 4,000th and 5,000th like of my posts. I knew I wanted to do a GAW that included those folks and also to include others.

So here is what I decided... people can try to guess the members (user name) that made those 5 milestone "likes", you cannot enter your own name ;) If you guess right, you will be entered into the "Guessers" pool for a chance to win this vintage AW Wadsworth Congress knife dressed in classic bone.

The easy part is if you happened to be one of those 5 members that made the milestone 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K or 5K "Like"... once your user name is guessed, you are automatically in the "Likers" pool for a chance to win this vintage Continental Cutlery coke bottle dressed in ebony.

Most folks know I love "Old Knives" and I want my GAW to be old knives that represent the spirit I find in them; the AW Wadsworth and Continental are both knives I cherish but want to pass along to spread the "Old Knife" fever I have... it's contagious :)

IN SUMMARY... if you want to participate just guess someones user name that is not yours, let's start with one guess per day thru the holiday weekend and then we may ramp it up to two per day. If things progress slowly I will add hints getting progressively more obvious and we will have this wrapped up by the end of next week. If multiple people guess right, the first person to guess the correct name is entered in first. Once you guess one of the correct names, you are in and will not get credit for any further guesses.

Ultimately we will have 5 people in the "Guessers" pool and 5 people in the "Likers" pool. I will do a random winner generator next Saturday (9/8) and announce the lucky folks. Let me know if you have any questions, I hope I explained things OK... don't want to make it too complicated.

First hints are that 4 of the 5 people you are trying to guess are very frequent to most of the Traditional standard threads like Black Friday, What Traditional Do You Have Today, Sunday Picture Show, Wooden Wednesday, Old Knives, etc. The other member is more a Buck forum person but did participate in the 2018 Traditional Forum Knife threads quite a bit. Good luck!

EDIT: Added TRADITIONAL to "...2018 Forum Knife..."

I really like the appeal of vintage knives but I know so little about them that I rarely buy them. Those both look great and I'd love a chance at either one.

My first guess is Jack Black.

Good guess, but not the legendary Jack Black

Part of the reason I want to do a GAW like this is to put a nice old knife in someone's hands like yours... these two knives will give you the old knife fever ;)

Sounds complicated! Will read again tomorrow when I haven't been drinking.
