AND THE WINNER IS...Post # 29-TotalDbag!!

No I'm not 5000 years old.(yet ;))
Nah,this is my belated 5000 post & B-Day giveaway rolled into one.(I decided to wait for my B-Day so I went over 5k a bit.:p)
Anyhoo...howdy all,I wanted to give back for all the info I've gleaned since I've been lurking here in this friendly little corner of BF over the past year or so.
I don't post much over here being the introvert I am,but I do appreciate all the knowledge & kindness shared by the members of this little community so I'm giving back by giving away this nice old Ulster Knife Co.Equal End Jack.

I carried a Vic Champ as a mechanic in the Marines & Vic Classic or Rambler as a free man (civilian),but one day late last year while wandering around the local Antique Mall I spied a little bone handled 2 blade knife with a bail.Wow,what a beauty I thought & after a little haggling I was able to put it in my pocket & go on my way.
I took it home, oiled & sharpened it & went looking for info about the newest addition to my pocket clutter.
I learned from lurking here & googlefo that it is called an Easy Open Jack.(made by Imperial)

So after being bitten by the bug & trying different patterns since then,I have finally settled on the 2 blade jacks in the 3 1/2" range as my preferred style for pocket carry.Coinsidence?I don't think so.They just work for my preference in a pocketable pocket knife.

This Ulster, like the Imperial has everything I like in a pocket knife…not too big at 3 1/2",2 blades opening from the same end, nail nicks on the same side & some nice old bone.(perfection)I just took a magnet to it & it appears to be of all steel construction if that matters to anyone.
It does have a very little bit of side play in the main blade, but not enough to keep it out of the rotation & the secondary is solid. The main's pull is about 5 & the secondary's is around a 7,no laziness in closing with good snaps for both.(and no half stops on either blade)
The main had a bench grinder edge & it lost a bit of steel from the grinder & the pen has lost a little from what appears to be honest work but they sharpened up real nice with a little work & have plenty of life left for for some lucky member.

Here's the prize..

You can post as much as you like if you feel like commenting on someone else's post, but your first post will be the one that counts for the gaw.
I will use a random number generator to pick the winner and you must be legally able to own a knife to participate.

Happy birthday! And congrats on your 5K! Thanks for the chance, that one's a sweetheart. :)

This one is my most-carried knife. It's sorta like Old Reliable. Been so many places together and for so much of the last few years, that I can hardly imagine NOT carrying this one. In my pocket, on my belt, shoved into a boot, or in my pack, somewhere on my person is my Queen Mountain Man. :D

Here it is with another tool that accompanies me everywhere, a little prybar/screwdriver/wrench/shackle key/church key made by Peter Atwood, called the Atwrench. Very handy, and has saved me from having to run back to the truck for tools (and hence, saved the day!) many times. Lives on my carabiner with my keys.

Happy Bday! :)

Thanks for the chance - I´m in!

The GEC #66 Serpentine Jack is a great knife - imo!
Even the same length and specimen like your preferences - though it´s not an equal end jack :)

Happy B-Day Myke! I'm in thanks for the chance.

Thanks so much for the chance. This is my my favorite knife just because my grandfather gave it to me when I was younger.
