Howdy folks! As manny of you know from personal experience, the regulars of this forum are wonderful people! Recently I was on the receiving end of this forums generosity; and it's about time I passed it on! Brett (timberweasle) gifted me a Texas Jack earlier this month, and I've since fallen in love with the pattern. Still trying to figure out what, but know that you are on my mind Brett, something will arrive in the mail eventually.
Along with that, I really enjoy reading these forum, and participating a little bit. People like Charlie, Duncan, Pappa Andi, Andy, Brett, Sarah, Jack, Gary, Frank, Paul, Vince, Fausto
cool
, Carl, Chris, Zach, Stephan, Will, Jeff, SAK guy, Gevonovich, and manny more, make this a wonderful place! Apologies for any misspelled names
.
Anyway, the knife up for grabs. A NorthWoods #44 Madison Barlow with Autumn gold jigged bone. I believe this is from the first run from a few months earlier. While I actually really enjoy this one, it almost never finds it's way into my pocket nowadays. Condition wise, it has been sharpened a good deal (it's quite sharp), has a patina going, loud snap, the pull is a strong 6-7, spring sits flush open and closed, over all a fine specimen.
I will warn you however, the back spring will leave a small dent in the center of the edge if you let it snap closed, along with a small roll near the tip. It doesn't happen at all if you close it softly, though.
Here's a pic,
Good luck everyone!
Kirby

I'm going to end this in a week or two!
