I try to GAW something somebody would like but I won't miss. I knew I had an extra of this, and it turns out I have four in all, though only two with sheathes. Only one of them has an unmodified pommel, so that's the one I'm giving away.
Western/USA 71. Mark I Navy, it was sold to me as.

Five-inch blade, one eighth inch thick.

Rules: Be a trad contributor, be a legal recipient of the knife, post "I'm in". Show and/or tell anything else you care to.

Acts of God or further senior moments may void this GAW. So I won't let it run too long. (If you think I've forgotten, give it a bump.)

Sheesh. First I lost the pictures, then the knife, but it's back.

I'm in, please. Thank you for the chance.
My Western "Demo" knife is lonely, and I think as two old vetrans they would get along great together. :)

That's a beautiful knife.
It's really really tempting because I don't yet own anything in stacked leather, but ive been liking smaller knives more and more recently and I want to try and stick to 9" overall or less for fixed blades.

This is really a generous giveaway and the knife is so so tempting, I'd love the knife and carry it but I better leave it for others who aren't trying to go smaller.

I'm in! and thanks for the opportunity. I use to have one very similar as a boy. IF I win I promise to take it fishing with me every weekend :) Sadly mine was stolen from my tackle box while I was shore fishing. I learned that day not to let older strangers rummage through your tackle box for a spare hook:(

Not an entry for me, as I have been more lucky in GAWs than anyone should be, but I imagine other folks will be wanting to give that knife a home. It is a pretty classic fixed blade. It would make a good camping/belt knife for a youth.

I'm in!
Nice knife Jer.

My sixteen year old nephew is a knife nut and sent me a video of the restoration of a ( rusty old ) dead ringer for that knife. He said it was "sick".

If I win this generous give away, I'll gift the knife to young ben.

Thanks for the chance. :)

Very generous Jer, I don’t usually enter GAWs but as a fixed blade fanatic I can’t pass this one up. I’m in :), and thank you! If I win I am going to use this to finally try and make a leather sheath, something I have wanted to attempt but have never had the confidence to try.

Like Tom, I love a good fixed blade and that one is certainly that:thumbsup:

Please count me in and thanks for a generous GAW:cool:

Oh wow what a nice knife! Please count me in! I really like leather handled knives, although I don't currently have one. I had a Ka-Bar that I bought in '99 for years. Until it was stolen. I gifted a Camillus 7"fighting/utility to my best friend in '02, he still has it. That looks like it'd make a great woodcraft knife to me :)

I'm trying not to enter, but that knife is pretty awesome, to use an over-used phrase. Please count me in, Jer.

Nice bunch of entrants for this generous giveaway :) I'll throw my hat in if I may, thanks Jer, and good luck everyone

Oh yes I'm in. Sweet stacked leather and classic Western. Thanks for the kind gesture and great opportunity!

I'm in. My brother has a leather handle, but I don't. Please send my way. Thanks.
