Over the past couple of years i have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of reading threads and seeing pictures of all the beautiful knives everyone brings to the porch. I really appreciate this place and i want to give something back. So a GAW is in order. As an entry, please just post a picture of your favorite traditional along with the reason it's your favorite. Could be one you have now, one that got away or one you have always admired.

The prize is this S&M baby sunfish.

I will let this run for five days or so and likely pick the winner by random number generator.

Once again, thanks for being awesome.

Terrific GAW, my friend. I have several that I am very fond of but this 15 tends to work it's way in to my pocket more than any other. It has beautiful bone, great action, and it keeps a keen edge. Very pocketable as well. Thanks so much!

Thank you for the generous g/a. My favorite traditional is this S&M File & Wire III English Jack, with the spear blade modified into a Wharncliffe by Master Smith Don Hanson, III of Sunfish Forge. Terrific bone, good ATS-34 steel, and not another one just like it in the world.

Wow. This is a terrific GAW! Very generous of you! I'm posting a picture of my Case Texas Jack. I like it because it's a great size and appropriate for most of my daily tasks.

My first GEC. I figured if I was going to take the plunge, get the nicest one I could find. Still is.

This is my first knife given to me by my grandfather about 50 years ago and was brought back to life by Glennbad.

This is the knife that my 4 year old son plucked or for me at an antique store.
A nice old Hammer with full blades and beautifully bright scales.
My wife tried to talk him into a sterling silver watch pocket knife but he would have none of it.

Not my pic but I've always been enamored by the Canal Street Cannitler, a canoe pattern. It had a very robust main blade and fit in the
hand so well. Really sad to hear they are out of business. Wish they made more of these.
Great GAW!

GEC Steel Toenail.

I carry it a lot, because it is Stout, the blade slices well, and the single spring makes it thin. It really is a comfortable knife to carry and use.

Plus, it is very easy to open and close one handed, due to the cam tangs (even though it has very stiff springs!)

What a great gaw. Thanks for the chance. I think my current fav is a little Beagle. It's little, but very useful. I love the blade combination. In the pic it's on the left. Not in the wheel-o-peanuts.

Thanks for hanging out on the porch, Wilson, and thanks of the generous giveaway. I love a keystone shield!

"Favorite knife" is always an agonizing decision. Favorite to use? Most sentimental attachment? When in doubt, there's always 'George', my one and only TC Barlow, given to me by pertinux:

My Son gave me this knife the same weekend he let me know I was going to be a Grand Pa (my first)😆

To pick a favorite is hard. This one has been in my pocket for a while. It's a heck of a knife.

Great GAW,
Thank you:thumbup:

My favorite EDC is the Medium Stockman pattern; I have a number of them in various brands. These are two that were gifted to me and are among my most cherished, a Case 5318 from Primble and a Schrade 897UH from my brother. By the way, that is a fantastic knife - wonderful GAW. OH

Awesome knife and giveaway, Thank you very much!
My favorite traditional varies between a few GECs, usually one of my two TC Barlows. This is my must carried knife since it was released: A New Day Barlow.

Nice GAW, I've been eyeing the baby sunfish.. never pulled the trigger. My autumn gold spear washington jack gets the most pocket time.

Thanks for posting everyone. So many awesome knives already!

very nice GAW with a rarely seen gec knife. Thank you
My fav is the Case/Bose LC...the basis for many new custom made knives. It has the size that feels very comfortable in hand and a really good looking clip blade.
