Alright, kids....I have a BK2 that needs a new home, and the rules are simple. ANYONE can enter to win this....provided you make a donation to the ADA (as little as $5....a couple coffees). I don't think I can restrict this to my personal fundraising page, but I would really appreciate your donation to my 2015 Tour de Cure ride in Kennebunk, ME - http://main.diabetes.org/goto/mhbailey31. I'll be riding the 100k (that is 62 miles....and I am no spring chicken) loop for my mom and everyone else I know living with diabetes. To enter this GAW, just post some form of confirmation for your ADA donation and you will be entered. If you don't want private info posted please just email me from my avatar and I will make sure to enter you. This BK2 that will come with both the plastic sheath and a nylon MOLLE sheath from my BK10 - fits perfect.. It has had the logos etched and I did a test cut or two....but other than that, it's unused. I will also be drawing for a second place GAW of a SOG 3-day backpack with hydration bladder included (plastic still on the bite valve). I'd love to see the Beckerheads step up to the plate with this one.....but all are welcome.

The ride will be on June 14th, so get your entries in by then. I will pick a winner by June 14th to be sent out on the 15th. Your donation to the ADA is tax deductible, though I hope you make this happen for the sheer humanity of it. I think this is a GREAT way to do something awesome for yourself and people you know living with diabetes - and you could end up with a (almost) new BK2 shipped to your door. I'll even include some stainless hardware for the lucky winner.

Thanks in advance for all your support!

Any questions, please email (or PM) me; please try to keep thread chatter to a minimum. If you have a preference for one GAW over the other, please state so in your post. I'd rather give each to the person who wants it.....

I'm in Mike. This is a great idea (I too was recently diagnosed with diabetes) so thank you for doing this. I almost never win anything LOL but, just in case I were to, the BK2 would be my first choice. Pack is fine too.

Thanks again

Steve

Go Granite Go!!
My wife is a Type 1 diabetic. She found out on her 23rd birthday. It can be stressful at times to say the least, but she does a good job at managing her blood sugar.
Good on ya for riding in the Tour.

Done!

You guys are rocking the house! I'm touched by your generosity.

And for anyone else who wishes to donate/enter, no need to post all the details - unless you donate to a different rider...I see it on my end (on my ADA participant page) so a simple "done" post is all that's required.

Many, many thanks to those of you who've donated thus far.

I'll send over some funds in the morning. Marking it.

Put in for $13. Don't know how to post the transaction # but it says Ulf has donated 13 on the site.

I know lots of people with diabetes . Hope this does some good somewhere.

Since I got 3 2's I'd be in for the bag.

As much as I don't want to lessen my own chances of winning, I thought I would give this a bump.

It is a whorthy cause, and a giveaway worth giving for :)

Thanks for the bump, abbydaddy. I haven't been around here much, and missed this one.

Thanks for doing this, Mike! Along with a number of friends, my Mom and my wife's Dad both struggle with Type2. I've been meaning to ride a TDC for a few years now, but I never seem to get around to it. So good for you!

Donation made, and company-matched.
I'm in.

Thanks to everyone's participation so far....I'm extending this by a week!!!

Because I got the date wrong :p. Ride is on the 14th, so I have some more time to train, and everyone else has some more time to get in on this.

Great idea for a wonderful cause! I happily gave you my dad's age when he passed due to diabetes related medical issues. Wear them out on the road!

Brian
