Before i headed to school, my friends and i did an over night trip back home. The three of us decide to spend a night in a lean to shelter. took some pics of the trip, so enjoy.

Joel cutting sticks for the shelter, this was by far the worst saw ever made. My SAK saw was much better, so that what we used.

SWEET!!!!!!!!! Thats a cool set of pics dude.

Looks like a fun time, didn't see any beers in the snow, one of the best parts of winter camping is you dont need to lug in a cooler.:D
I have been thinking of doing some winter camping up here, I have too really study up though as its around -30 this time of year.

Hey Matt...

the second set of pics I've seen from you fella's,good work I look forward to seeing more post from ya.

Yeah, what did ya use to cut the wood, I see a timberline zambezi from what it looks like.

Nice pics :D

Very cool Mathew. Literaly and figuratively.;) Hats off to you buddy, I'm too wimpy to sleep outside in the winter. But hey, never say never right?

Nice set up!

Matt has got the coolest sunglasses, those square survival shades!

Bryan digging out the shelter area, please note: He has his tongue held at just the right angle for super efficient digging!

nice fire. In that weather , I'd always volunteer for "fire" duty.

What were the high and low temps, day & night?

What Knives did you bring??

What did you forget to bring??

For knives, we brought along timberline zambezi which did all the chopping. There was a Vic rucksack that 98% of the sawing, cus that red saw Joel brought was the biggest piece of crap ever made, plus you cant beat a SAK saw. And there was a Spyderco delica wave, Leatherman wave and my Ron Post drop point skinner.

As for stuff we forgot to bring, every one of us forgot a flash light. well I brought one, but the batteries were dead.

Very cool, it's been a while since I have done any winter camping. Gotta ask though, if the temps were that cold, who was wearing the tennis shoes that were drying by the fire. Not a smart move to be wearing that kind of foot gear for that time of year.

Yeah, that was Bryan wearing the shoes. And i agree very stupid. we got the site and he told use he need to make a fire cus his shoes were wet, we asked him why he didn't wear boots. He just said he didn't have any. I have several extra pair at home he could of used, but he didn't ask, or even let us know that shoes is all he had. So i really don't feel sorry for him.
