Winter Camping: "Sub-Arctic Winter Bivouacking" 1955 US Army Training Film

I was sleeping in an army tent very similar to that one in 2009 at fort Leonard wood , a pot belly drying out our boots and keeping us warm. Missouri gets cold!!
 
Using really similar gear in the 80s-90s, a couple small improvements but nothing the guys in that film wouldn't recognize.

The wave was just approaching then, the guys in the mad scientist building were just stating to experiment with civi cold weather gear that was generations ahead. Lighter, warmer, faster drying.
