winter in Yellowstone

HD, I've seen this one a couple of times and each time wondered about the same thing. Especially with the wind howling like it was. I felt like a wimp watching him, altho, he seemed to be pretty comfortable. I have to give him credit for minimizing his gear.

The wind kept him awake most the night blowing his wind break? :(
And the buffalo/ bison about died from starving?
What job/ adventure it would be though....... pure beauty at it's fineness. -:)

i live @ 5200' off grid in the mountains of MT...its no big deal, but not for the weak at heart either...
my 'nature' video is off my poarch...

Thought it was interesting the guy obviously knew how to orient his tarp to block the main direction of the wind.

I saw this the other night also. If using a tarp for shelter in that kind of weather, I think I would do a low "A" frame shape to the tarp rather than the upside down "L" shape he used.
