got out for a couple of days of snowshoeing (and skiing for my wife and daughters), wonderful weather- mid 30's after what seemed like an eternity of below zero weather

cabin we stayed in- small but cozy

Looks like pure fun Warden.

Are those snowshoes 25s or 30s?

Bean

I take it you mean mine :D they're 30's, I had 25's the last couple of years and they worked well pretty well, but there were always times when I 30's would have been better. When MSR came out w/ 5" tails for the Lightnings I was pretty excited only to find out they were offered only for their new 2010 models :( I ended selling mine and got the new ones in 30" and figured the 5" tails would be handy for winter backpacking where my load-out is heavier

Looks like a GREAT trip

Great Cutlery too

danke- would have been nice to have the "trio" (18" Trailblazer)- next time

Grand kids are great!

indeed! :)

That looked like a great trip. Anymore of these snowshoe threads and I'm buying some tomorrow! But, all my snow is gone... boooooooooooooo! I hope I get another storm this year!
