Hi Folks. I just thought I would post a few pics of what I have been working on this winter in preparation for a spring show. By the time spring rolls around there will be a couple more and sheaths, but here is where I am at right now. This spring show will be my debut, as I have never participated in one or advertised before. Any tips?

Dashdriver - Half are D2 and the rest are ATS-34. I have been thinking of switching over to CPM S-30-V, but haven't yet.

Jim,

Very nice work mate. I especially like the top one in the first photo. What type of wood is that mate? Looks like sheoak with white liners?

Matt

Thanks Matt. The wood is Texas Locust. Long story short, I got it while sawing up a big oak branch that had fallen on it and smashed it to the ground. I saw the caramel color of the wood and took it home and dried it out for a few years. To my surprise, when I cut it into scales, that great tiger eye effect came through (if cut quarter sawn).

Looking good Jim, keep it up. Those look very good! Keep us updated on how the Oregon show goes. It the rest you take look like those it should be a good show.
