I am seeing a lot of knives on ebay that say "Winterbottom Bone"...I was under the impression that Winterbottom was Delrin...am I wrong?

If you go to Bernard Levine's Forum right below us......find a post by Bernard.....click on links.....go to Knife History.....there is an excellent article about both "Roger's" bone and "Winterbottom" (Samuel) bone. ;)

Oh, by the way.....this information was provided by a "Yankee". :D

Just to add on a bit, always ask the seller to really look over the handles, I've seen a few Derlin handles that were marked as bone. Queen use to use real WinterBottonm on all it's knives, now I guess they've been bitten by the cost bug. Cheaper knives are now Derlin, while the premium lines are still bone.

P.S. I saw your thread on the Queen Mountain Man, glad to see they brought it back, it's a nice pattern. The old ones were scaled in Chipped Bark Derlin.

The day I bought it I was carrying a Camillus/Remington pattern, which I really liked but when I saw the Queen one I absolutely went nuts and bought it on the spot. I love it from the carved bone to the D2 this knife just rocks!
