This is just a couple of random shots. There is more going on. 8 knives heat treated, and 10 profiled, and not pictured. 3 with tapered tangs.

I re-heat treated the big boy, and he's straight!!! Woo hoo!

They don't look like much in glue-up, but once the handles start taking shape, the colors and contrasts really come alive. Looks to be another great batch!

Andy, is that the same big one you thought was no good a couple weeks ago? That would be cool if you saved it.

Yes! My father in law insisted we re-heat treat the pile of warps I'd built up. And presto. A few were saved! This was one. Its actually pretty exciting. Its got a super thin edge near the handle, and a steeper edge in the chopping area. I can't wait to take it out and do some beating with it.

Let us know about how that Big boy works Andy.
Do I spy a scandi grind with a handle that looks redish ( 2nd from the top)?

No. Thats a Nessmuk with a convex grind and Purpleheart and Osage wood combo.

great looking stuff as usual Andy... i can't wait to see that big boy all finished up...

Those are looking great, Andy:thumbup: I cannot wait to see how that big sucker performs:p

Ah the old question.........

If a man speaks and no woman hears him, is he still wrong?

Yep. Its gonna be sweet. Its got a tapered tang, and curly maple scales I got from Dan Koster.

The question is not whether or not she knew. It is whether or not you are married.:D

And all this time I thought if she didn't know I said something, she wouldn't automatically think I was wrong. Dang, wrong yet again.
