I'm building 2 more machete sheaths. Thought I'd bring you along for the ride. One sheath is for a 14" Bolo by Tramontina and the other is for a 12" Fiddleback.
Making sure I have my patterns and cutting tools. Those straps will be cut into loops and welt later.
Patterns drawn on the leather.
Sheath bodies and loops cutout and detailed.
Checking to see how deep the blades will sit in their sheaths.
Glue applied to all pieces.
Glued and stitched the loops to the first sheath, 2nd sheath has glue.
2nd sheath has straps all glued and stitched. The coil of leather is the Welt.
First sheath is a Taco or Fold over style. It has been wet formed to shape and needs to dry.
Another angle of the sheath.
Will post more later. Thanks!
