I let my vinegaroon brew for six days. I applied it twice, then put the sheath under bright light and turned it every way, doing little spot dabs. I dribbled extra on the recessed stitching. Then I bathed the whole thing in baking soda solution, then rinsed it thoroughly with clear water. Right now it is drying. I am very please with the deep black color.

I still need to apply wax to the sheath, and do a little more buffing on the knife handle. I am keeping it low-reflectivity as much as possible.

As you can see, I sanded off the coating around the edges of the tang. I didn't know how to avoid that. I shaped the scales while they were attached, to get a close fit.

That's a nice looking setup. I like the thicker handles and how they thin a little at both ends. Did you make both the knife and sheath?

Both the blade and sheath were made by ebay seller swordman39, a.k.a. Two Finger Knife. I just did the scales.

I found that I had left the scales so thick, it was pretty hard getting the knife in and out of the sheath. So I made them thinner since taking those pictures.
