Starting another knife for W. Andyrsen W. Andyrsen
This is another fabulous design he's come up with and had me make for him. This is going to be very similar to the Razorwire build I did recently but I decided to make a new thread for this.
This is a piece of 1/8 AEB-L

There are a couple slight changes to the bevels we've made so it won't be exactly like the paper picture but it will be the same shape and size.

This is going to be an interesting one! This is the most recent iteration of a pikal design that is nearly a decade in the making. I've been fixated on figuring out the ideal shape and angle for a reverse-grip knife geared for edge-in (pikal) tactics, but is also devastating with edge-out maneuvers ever since adding a karambit to my training some time ago (my training is still mostly pikal of course.) This is the most compact realization of those methods I have to date, and I feel the most mature. If you're interested in what this knife is intended for, google, Shivworks, Libre Fighting, and Ed's Manifesto for a rough idea.

Still waiting on the belts... the company forgot to send me the ones I needed so I have to wait twice! 🤷‍♂️

Here's the progress from today-

Got the center line scribed

I have kind of a weird setup when it comes to my jig and everything but I find that it works pretty well.

At its current state- I really like them so far!

After wrapping my mind around the grind of that outer edge for a bit, I can only conclude that this is going to be incredibly thin, stabby and slicey, just like the Razorwire fighter and probably even moreso. Very cool.
