Hey everyone.
This album will show the process in how I make two knives for two different causes. The proceeds of both these knives will be going to causes I believe very adamantly about.
The first knife will be auctioned for Adam and Haley. You guys are amazing with the effort shown in the community - this is my small part in it.
The second knife will be for University of Arizona: Wildcat Formula SAE, a club I'm in where students design and build single-seater race cars from the ground up, every year. It's completely student run, with us designing entire subsystems, fabricating and machining many of those components, and raising all the funds through sponsor relationship development. I have been involved with this club for years now, no words possible can even come close to describing the passion I have for it. It's changed my life; it's changed countless lives of other students, and I want it to succeed and continue on that legacy. We're in a tough situation right now, and any form of help is appreciated. More details to come for fundraising.
Edward Braun, of Alef Forge, has offered to heat treat these as a collaboration. We've talked about it in the past, and this was the perfect opportunity for it.
I got these waterjetted a few months ago as special projects. Both of them are Blue #2. The tangs are skeletonized like crazy to get all the weight forward.
Normalizing before the grind, then off they go to Ed.
More to come
