This is a one off custom order for a member of www.threepercenter.org who will remain nameless.

The black slab behind the sketch is a 12x12 slab of aerospace grade bi-directional carbon fiber @ .300" thick. The customer drew up the sketch to get as much length from corner to corner. Above that is some .250" red fiberglass sheet. This fiberglass will serve to add strength to the design and will be attached to both sides of the CF via epoxy and .250" thick CF dowels (also epoxy bonded). The hash marks indicate the grind lines and direction. The swedge will be V-ground and the edge will be close to a zero bevel chisel grind.

I got an assortment of free kydex in colors and thicknesses. I've never stomped kydex but I've talked to some pros and I think I'll learn quick.

BTW... the black circled red circles are where the CF dowels will go. The one that looks scratched is a no-go.

That thing is going to be wicked! I like the idea of augmenting the CF with the fiber glass; but is it needed? The CF knife you made for me seems fairly tough, so is the fiberglass requested by the designer?

Yup. He wanted CF overlay but the customer was in town and my father in law showed us the fiberglass and he liked the contrast better.
