This may be a stupid question but how exactly do you use the wire cutting feature on the CSAR-T knives and others?

I just noticed this topic. The blade is inserted onto a peg on the sheath via the hole in the blade. Then the wire is brought into the 'V' formed from this.
Then the spine of the knife is rotated toward the wire with a upward pull to cut the wire against the metal tab on the sheath. DM

@ DM- That would be true on the M9, but he's asking about the CSAR-T (and similar) and I presume others with that same dot-dash-dot hole configuration on the spine.

I have a CSAR-T and had no idea that was the purpose of that hole config. If anyone knows, I'd be interested in finding out as well. I thought the holes were intended for opening oxygen tanks and that the wire-cutting was just a rumor or potential use.

Unfortunately, the holes in my CSAR-T don't fit a typical oxy or other air tank. The holes on my other TOPS knife are larger and do operate the valve on an oxy tank.

I dunno...
