wire inlay tool ?

Would someone tell me how to make a tool to do wire inlay?I have searched and cannot seem to find what i am looking for. I know i do not have the knifemaking knowhow to do this the way it should be done,however i have some cheap wire that i want to work with,just for practice.I would also like to know how do you transfer your drawing to the handle material,or do you just draw it on the wood?Thanks for any help.

Joe Keeslar ( the article) sells an inlay kit with everything you need. The tools, instructions, and wire. It costs $60. It is worth it.

I just made this one yesterday. Benny's had the X-ACTO knife for $1.99 and the wooden ball at A C Moore's for $.79.

a while ago folks made them out of hack saw blades ground in different shapes. I picked some up at the friendship black powder meet.
