Wow! I am trying to come down off a three-day high. Y'all wouldn't have thought I was the same person you know.
On Monday my doctor changed my blood pressure medication and gave me one called clonidine. Said to take it at bedtime, and it would also make me sleep deeply. Hah!
Slept very lightly and restlessly. Up wide awake Tuesday at 4:30 am, had monthly bill paying and record- keeping done by 6:00 am. Felt full of energy all day. Kinda nice. Also, urinating like I had a teenage prostate. Had absolutely no desire for my usual retired old fart afternoon nap. Strange.
Wednesday morning. Slept hardly at all last night. Charging around, doing a week's worth of laundry in a morning. Out looking for things to do, did projects I had been putting off for months.
Thursday morning. Same thing, only greatly intensified. Couldn't sit still. even eyes wouldn't stay still, jumping around, looking at everything. couldn't sit down. Peeing like Niagara every thirty minutes. Very nervous and hyper. Chattering with everyone in sight. Drove to doctor's office, blood pressure elevated. He told me to stop taking it and let him think about it overnight and call me.
Friday morning, now. Didn't take it last night, but still hopped up like a jackrabbit. Just looked it up on net. The high and the urinating are listed as very rare side effects.
Starting to urinate like a 69 year old man again, though. No interactions listed with my meds except for low-dose aspirin. also caffeine, and I drink at least six cups a day.
Liked it the first day, and somewhat the second. I now realize how people can get hooked on uppers, the extra energy is nice. By the third, hated it, got scared, realized that this had to stop, was going to kill me if it kept escalating. Would have been a great time for a Ganza, though. No telling what I would have bought!
