I have just recently as of today upgraded my router to a linksys e2000 and that is connected to an imac and my xbox 360 and droid phone have no problem connecting to it but my pc has am older 5 year old wireless pci card and it covers G networks and the new router is an N router, so might I have to get a new pci card? the card does not even see the new network and my phone, xbox, and kindle all see it.

From what I understand, the difference between "G" and "N" is speed and range, "G" between weaker than "N". So yes, your card should work with an "N" network if your in range. I have a newer "N" router and a laptop with an old pci card in it and it works fine. Have you tried manually putting in your router settings to see if it can find the router?

Manual putting in the settings is the best bet.
Also make sure your router is set to an encryption type that is compatible with your computers Wireless Card.
I know when I first got a Nintendo DS I had to switch to WEP from WPA2 because the DS did not work with WPA2, though it still saw the network.
Also try rebooting the router with the computer card on, occasionally it just needs a quick reset. Same for the computer, rebooting can help sometimes.

When all else fails, reboot. Try connecting without any security on the router, No WEP or WPA settings, completely open. If it still fails to detect the wireless network I would unistall\reinstall the PCI network drivers, assuming that you still have the cd that came with the card.

You need to set your router to show all networks types, B/G/N. I had the same problem with older laptops. My newer HP has a wireless-N card and when I connected to the network I booted my wife and daughter off because wireless-N took precedence and shut out the B and G. I had to go into the router and set it to show and connect to all bands. I think the actual name for all is called MIXED.
