Wireless freedom to surf around the house a reality!

Okay, my inlaws were very kind to me for my birthday! I just had to share. Look what I was overjoyed to unwrap over the weekend and install last night!

Those of you with a laptop in addition to your home desktop, you gotta check this setup out. After you install these two devices (took a little time, guesswork, and 1 call to tech support), your laptop can roam free about the house--limited now only by your battery life! This is awesome! I can now peruse Bladeforums from the backyard or the john! The best is all wirelessly at DSL-speeds! Yowza!

I just checked Amazon.com, and it seems the Router runs about $159, and the PC Card about $75. So, for about the price of a used Sebenza--you too can have wireless freedom!!

Am looking in to that exact setup. Only problem is I already have a XSense router, but the wireless would be great for my work PC laptop and my powerbook.

I can't tell any difference in speed--though there may be some slight delay, but I can't differentiate it from light net congestion. Works for me.

As far as range, I have a 2700 sq. ft. single-story house and it works in all corners so far--and in the near yard.
