A Gene Wiseman Barlow showed up here today. Take a look. Amber bone, sunken joints, 1095 blades, half stops, extended back spring. 3 1/2 inches. Very cool. Thank you Gene Wiseman and thank you
Obadiah Barlow.

Very nice looking and I like the bellies on both of those blades. The joints are not just sunk, they look like they have been torpedoed. Might just be the most pocket friendly Barlow I have seen. (How'd he do that.) :D.

Lots of character there! The sharply angled clip blade seems to be becoming a Wiseman trademark.

Congrats Rob, I really like the looks of that and the sunken joints were a great idea.

"Very cool" is right. Dang, that is sweet!
As a rule I don't even like Barlows or sunken joints. I guess I found the exception.

Nice one Rob

I like that and I don't even like Barlows! That is probably the only Barlow I've ever seen that I liked. Congrats!

Nice one Rob! The bone looks great and I also like the wide pen blade.

If so, that's one excellent trademark. I like it. A lot.

The clip blades on my knives from Gene are angled like this too. It gives them a good feel in hand when cutting.

It reminds me of the spey blade on a sowbelly, the same kind of angle. Very useful for fine cuts.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I haven't made a barlow in a few years but I was pretty proud of that pattern. I have one just like that that I carried for a couple of years and have been thinking of making me a new one with D-2 blades.
Thanks again,
Gene
