does anyone use the Wisemen Fang on their Spyderco? I’m interested to hear how it’s been working for some people. I love the Emerson wave both on my Emerson and more so the Spyderco Endura. I’m considering a limited endura and using the fang.

From the video on the Wiseman website, looks like it may tear up the pants quicker than the wave on the P'Kal or Endura waves.

I am more interested in it's durability and thickness.

The idea of a waved FFG makes it very tempting to try it.

Sal told me one time that it wasn't possible to do a FFG waved Endura or Delica, but I didn't really understand why.

Maybe not a full cut like the Waved Endura..
But why not a treaded hole and stud like the Pikal?

For now the Wiseman looks like a viable alternative... But who is going to be first to try it?

I thought their karambit ring that sticks on the back of the Enduras and Delicas was pretty cool.

This fang is awesome! I will likely try one but it does look sharp, I will probably sand it down.

As for the peg wave like on the Pikal, I have not been at all able to understand why it has not appeared on more knives. To me it is hands down the best wave and also the least damaging on pockets to boot.

After my Emersons ate through a few pockets I was like "a small price to pay" but once every single pair of pants you own has pockets that are coming undone from the jeans it starts to get annoying. So now I just put my finger over the spine when drawing a waved knife and only wave sparingly.

I looked it up, it is pretty cool. I've seen people do similar things with zip ties, so I suppose it is a matter of preference.

Got one one the way. Will post pics and impressions next week sometime.

If not mistaken, their testing showed lack if reliability due to lack of blade mass to wave 100% as the models are lockbacks. If it’s liner / compression lock, not much mass is needed oncethe blade is free from detent.

I'd love to see a FFG waved Delica/Endura with micarta or G10 handles and a compression lock. Or just a waved PM2.

Works fine. Not quite as good as the waved FRNs. Can still MFF it. The “fang” is nicely beveled so shouldn’t do any extra damage to pockets.

Revival of 4 yr old thread but it still made me "look." LOL! ;)

It's called the "Wise Men Company."

The company is still in business (or at least their website is still up) but things have changed in the past 4 years that make the product less relevant now but I'm sure there are still those among us who might want to buy the fang or signet ring to put on one of their Spydercos.

Check it out if you are one of those people
