Wisemen Trading for Gransfors Bruks Axes

I just received a Gransfors Bruks Splitting Maul from Wisemen Trading & Supply. They were so nice about it that I thought I should point other members there if you're looking for somewhere to get a GB/Wetterlings (I have no affiliation besides having just made an order). I talked to a guy there and told him what to look for (no ground off toe/heel, straight bit aligned with handle, etc). He called me back after inspecting all of the 12 or so they had in stock and double checked that the bit/haft were everything I wanted, checking for minute differences between all of the ones he had available. It arrived less than 48 hours later with free shipping, very well packaged, and it's perfect as far as I can tell.

I know these are available on Amazon and stuff, but it's really nice to be able to get one from a company that takes the time to make sure you really get a good one.
 
They are indeed great folks to deal with. I have always been happy with their service, shipping, and products.
 
Thanks Cooperhill -- the member Trailmaker convinced me to get one. I'm headed to the canadian bush in a couple weeks, where a house-sized pile of bucked jack pine is waiting for it...we'll see how it stacks up!
 
FWIW, this site has a rule against "deal spotting". Wiseman might have a good deal on Gransfors axes, but it be against da rulez to do what you're doing. Just warning you now so you don't get banned later.
 
Little vague on the rules here, but is it deal spotting or should it have just gone to GBU? Just curious
 
You know, that's a good point. When I first read it, it read like deal spotting, but yeah, this could definitely fall into GBU. Wasn't trying to bust on anyone, just trying to be helpful.
