Man, I wish E.E. would make a production CQC-6. I'd buy one in a second, and I know I wouldn't be alone. I've read that he wanted to keep it a custom only model. It's probably his best selling custom (I'm guessing), so he's keeping that one "sacred" I believe. Well, here's wishful thinking, maybe one day...

i have seen posts by ernie saying he would never make a production '6, he considers it the flagship of his entire company and will only offer it as a custom.

some say the raven (IIRC) is a lot like the '6 but i've never seen the similarity myself, i dont think it looks anything like a '6.

imho a non waved '6 is the epitome of the EKI line line have one and would like to get another and use one as an edc, & probably will someday.

Here's a Po' Boy 6 done by ferrrk.

Here's a Super 6 conversion by Reese Weiland. It's my EDC.

I see you just had to cut a wave notch in to that Ti blade :D:thumbup:

Did I do a factory quality job?

Looks good to me

I spend my time taking the wave off my EKIs so I must be your polar opposite :p

We should eat some hash brownies together and discuss the finer points of life :D

You should come over to the People's Republic of Kalifornia some time, land of the soon to be legal ganja. You can check out my knife shop while my wife makes muchies :D

I'll actually be in the US early next year to visit some frinds in NYC and Cali. so that could easily be done :)

Seriously, let me know when you plan on coming. Got a spare bedroom with your name on it.

Sounds good man, its always nice to hook up with some good knife people

Ernest has stated a number of times that the 6 will never be a production model. It was the first model that really took off and got a lot of attention for that reason he chooses to keep it a custom only model. Benchmade was interested in the 6 when they were looking to produce one of his knives and he said No to the 6 but sold them on the CQC-7 instead. This came from the man himself at a knife show. Great guy to talk to and could not be more down to earth and personable with his fans.

Ferrk's Po boy 6's and 5's are the amazing looking though!

imho '6s are the epitome of all emersons and one of the more desireable, i have a std non waved '6, just the std one and like it a lot but have only carried it a time or 2, wanna keep it LNIB, or close to it, i wish i could find a "user" '6 though.

but no he will never ever make a production '6 it aint happening.
