Someone call the doc quick. I think I'm getting the shakes! o_O

My wife and I are moving next week and we've been packing up the house the last few weeks. So rather than risk letting my wife pack everything  I took this as an opportunity to experiment by packing up all my knives last week, save a few that avoided the cage, I left out a new Case 6231 from 1979 and a Buck 112 slim. Let me tell you I've come very close to ripping open a box. 😆

Two weeks with only a few knives, the withdrawals are getting pretty serious.

I hope it will get easier for you! All of my knives are in a hanging bag with see thru pockets, hanging open in a location I walk past frequently… and I’ve only used my black plum Viper and my Buck 112 since May 11 at lunchtime (only know this because of the time stamp on my pic I took when I first used the Viper). Apparently these two are all I need… who knew?

You know I've gonna months using the same knife, apparently boxing them up and taking away the choice is the hard part. And picking a "new" knife that I haven't bonded with yet hasn't helped, although I'm slowly building up a patina on it.

I went through the same thing 10 months ago, it's not fun. Then, to top it off, when I unpacked the boxes I think I accidentally threw away a very nice, old, irreplaceable knife along with the newspaper I used to pad them.

You should have mailed boxes of your knives to yourself at your new home, every day for a week, and then when they arrive each day would be joyful!
That would be genius! Although then my wife would actually see how many I have..

Oofph, that was my fear of having my wife "help" pack them. I can just hear her "honey I found a rust old knife, don't worry I threw it away." 😮
When I move, I'm selling all my knives and starting over. 🤪
Even the thought of that gives me that sweats.

This is an awesome idea, but with my luck with the postal service lately, it could become a stressfull situation quick!

Almost broke this morning. Pulled the box up to the table and everything. But at the last second I gathered my wits and resisted the temptress.
