I have batoned my TGLBm through many a piece of fire wood and all around general abuse. When you are splitting wood have you hit the knife in the area of the scales? If so it is possible to bend the tube fastners and even break the g-10. Is the scale visibly loose or is it just a rattle when you tap it? If it is visibly loose I would send Lexi an email and send the TGLB in for a spa visit. Or there was a thread I remember about reattaching the handles after some work as well.

The handles are not loose to the touch....just a slight vibration. I did not hit the handles as far as I know. I can only hear the rattle. ..cannot feel it.
