I still have several Schrade USA LB's and IMO better yet, OT's in carbon steel. Some of them go back to the 70's and are still going strong. The Schrade USA carbon models are some of the easiest sharpening knives I've encountered. The OT7 will always have a place in my collection as will the smaller non locking models. I just bought an old NOS 12OT last week in fact. There are plenty of the USA built models around and judging by the way they sell they are still very much appreciated. The LB7's and OT's in Schrade + ( 440A I think) are nice for those preferring stainless and seem to be easier to find in excellent condition than the Old Timers in carbon steel.
if you keep an eye out on ebay, you can find the usa made schrade lb8 and lb7 knives which are really great quality knives, great alternatives to the buck 110
Hmmm..
This is your response after 3 lukewarm (at best) replies???
Although I didn't read your initial post because it was deleted, it appears to me that the "brand loyalists" aren't the overly sensitive ones here.
