Sorry CQC86, but I am merely folowing suite with a number of cutlery manufacturers and vendors - google it or check the forums for more detail. My understanding is there is a legal issue with selling and shipping certain knives into NY State (most likely more an issue with NYC) and a number of cutlery manufacturers and vendors have stopped shipping directly to customers in NY State - at least until the extent and application of the laws in that state have been determined.

I believe that the laws are in regards to NYC not New York state as a whole.
