WM Native I mini review

I recently picked up the Native from Wal-Mart (I don't shop there but Spyderco is a great reason go go).

I own many spydercos (Delica, Waved Endura, 3 Salt 1s, 80mm Manix, Native 3D, SPOT on the way) but this may be my favorite ergos.

Let's not talk about WM on this thread please? :barf:

I like my Native 3D ok. It handles well and I bent the wire clip the other way so that it would low ride. But it's pretty chunky to try to hide on a low-ride clip.

The Native I (IMO) has some of the most perfect ergos that I've ever handled! The rounded edges and subtle checkering is much more comfortable than the standard Delica and Endura handles. The FRN is thicker and feels stronger than them, too. Not that the Delica and Endura feel weeny -- it's just the Native feels stronger.

It opens quickly and the finger choil fits *just right*.

I had read before that the Native II had better ergos than the 3D but hadn't experienced it. I have to say that the difference between the I and the 3D are night and day.

I won't comment much on the s30v. Many of my knives have it and it's great. To have it on a knife at this pricepoint is pretty amazing.

I may have to pick up a few more!
