This is a sad tale of loss. When my wife and I moved to SE Asia the movers piled our boxes up outside in the common area of the Condominiums as they unloaded the truck. They did not watch our boxes. So, the locals happily pilfered our contents and among the loss were a long pull 301, two of my deceased father's 303's from a long way back, and a micarta 501 I carried in and out of the military and for years afterwards (1978 or 1979 vintage). Buck knives over here are horribly expensive (a 119 may cost $400 USD). I am deeply saddened over this loss more than anything else the thieves living around us got.
In 1991 or so, in Lakeland, FL, someone stole my stag scaled Buck 503 while I was working out at a fitness center. I cannot stand thieves.
Have any of you had your Bucks stolen?

(not deer, knives...although I had 3 men try and steal a deer from me, but with me holding that BAR it did not go well for them)

Dang... sorry to hear that. I hope you get to make your way stateside soon to replace what you lost.

I gifted my old Army pal in California a nib Buck 110 build out and he put it with his important papers and things in a storage facility being he lives in an apartment. He's a 100% DAV and some scum bag broke into his storage unit and took the knife along with his jump school diploma and honorable discharge. His insurance covered the knife but it can't be replaced.
Sorry for your loss Doc.

That's awful. Someone probably is using his Jump School diploma for "proof" they went to Airborne school. I keep mine in the safe.

I am sure a lot of us have lost knives to thieves.

Man that stinks. To answer your question yes I've had 2 Buck knives stolen. Both when I while I was in highschool. First one was my beloved 309. I se to carry that little 309 every where. My senior year I went to a private Christian school. During gym class got into my locker and stole the little guy. This one was one of the Buck made ones but before the grind had changed from flat to hollow. I have a couple of 309's now but they are the long pulls. I might have to one day replace it with one from the "bay". Tom me the 309 is one of the few tiny knives out there don't feel like a toy.

Second knife stolen was a 110. It was stolen from my grandparents house when I was about 19. I'm 90% sure it was a so called friend that did it.I loved that knife. I received it for Christmas when I was 15. We were going somewhere as a tennchurch group so I didn't want to take my 110. I laid it in the room I was staying at my grandparents (grandfather was the pastor of the church). This so called friend at the last minute needed to run into the house. Later that evening when I went to get my 110 it wasn't there.

I agree I hate thieves.

As personal & expensive as knives are....it burns real deep when some dirt ball steals one!
I hate thieves as well!

Sorry guys/gals for the delay

going thru some changes in life and splitting time between hitting sales goals at work, new girlfriend, buddy opening a brewery in GB, new changes at apartment, helping parents remodel and not having bought a single gift for xmas- have you seen the craziness at the mall?

I had pics but didn't know how to submit them and I'm 26. hopefully this one works. Please help me out with this if they don't, tried to look for help. the url thing was different, used to just attaching

I still haven't seen the knife online and asked my dad while painting but didn't get any info other than he'd take the knife back. no chance of that. This knife has survived a winter in northern wi on the ground, a week underwater up north and years of neglect while still looking like a champ and opening smooth as butter. I feel ashamed- but- a pocketknife should not be a sports car kept in the garage, it should be used, almost abused and sharpened for use again.

Oops. It seems you posted to the wrong thread, perhaps?
